Listed below are just some of the services we offer. If you would like more information based on your specific requirements, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss your project with you, in more detail.
Tree Worx Ltd can offer the complete removal of a tree to ground level, with complete cover of any required felling license. This involves the careful lowering of branches and timber to prevent damage to the surrounding area. Lowering ropes and all Health and Safety equipment, PPE are used at all times. All tall/ leaning/fallen/hollow trees will require a detailed site visit. Please contact us for more information.
To prune back the ends of branches this reduces the crown of the tree to a more compact size whilst retaining its natural shape. Tree pruning may be necessary to maintain a tree in a safe condition, to remove dead branches, to promote growth, to regulate size and shape or to improve the quality of flowers, fruit or timber. Improper pruning can lead to trees becoming unsightly, diseased and/or potentially dangerous.
Pollarding is a system in which the upper branches of a tree are removed, promoting a dense head of foliage and branches. This is primarily to maintain trees at a predetermined height.
A stump grinder or stump cutter is a power tool or equipment attachment that removes tree stumps by means of a rotating cutting disk that chips away the wood.
We are also able to treat existing tree stumps using a technique releasing glyphosate to the stumps to minimise root and stump sprouting.
We undertake all types of hedge cutting from small garden hedges to large hedges that require hydraulic platforms due to their height and difficulty. Hedge trimming of most evergreen formal hedges should be carried out two or three times a year, while they’re actively growing. Conifer hedges such as Leylandii need regular pruning or these fast-growers will soon outgrow their location. We can also completely remove hedges and conifers.
We don’t just take trees down; we can also replant and advise on your choice of plant selection and location. Growth plans can be sufficiently detailed as to incorporate the after care of your growing trees. Planting new trees and shrubs isn’t a difficult job, but one to get right, if you want your new plants to have the best start in life. The most important considerations are root health, weather, soil conditions and aftercare.
